Sonny’s Mob Café is a private mob social club with a public face. It’s the kind of place one might find scattered around Brooklyn, Chicago, or Philadelphia, where pastries and espresso bring smiles to residents in the front and have a private area in the back where local organized crime figures congregate, play cards, plot various money making schemes, and other unmentionable activities (you never know who’s listening in).
Feel special that you are now in the in crowd of Sonny’s Mob Café. You are an associate of the mob, at least in spirit. You’re interested in the history of traditional organized crime, the personalities, the habits, the ups and the downs of life in the fast lane as it was and will never be again. Sonny’s Mob Café is the last outpost of no bullshit expertise in what organized crime was all about. No self-serving, gratuitous lies that you’ve picked up from the books you’ve read by rats like Sammy The Bull, Henry Hill, and others. At Sonny’s Mob Café you’ll find the good, the bad, and the ugly…delicious cannolis of mob memories, sour grapes for today’s mob situation, and a horse's head under the covers now and then, just because it’s there.
To all of you entering, I say welcome. Just remember, watch what you say…the walls have ears, and always, always keep these words in mind: “I refuse to answer…”
